AFFIRMED.

SO ORDERED.

In the exercise of its jurisdiction, the RTC has the authority to clarify
bank transactions affecting estate property posted by petitioner after the death
of Ignacio, especially where the explanations on record appear insufficient or
raise legitimate questions. This authority is expressly recognized under Rule
87 of the Rules of Court. Section 622 thereof allows the probate court, upon
complaint of any interested party, to cite a person suspected of having
concealed, embezzled, or conveyed away property of the deceased, or of
possessing documents tending to show the decedent’s rights or interests, and
to examine such person under oath. Complementarily, Section 723 empowers
the probate court, upon complaint of the administrator, to cite any person
entrusted with property of the estate and require said custodian to render a full
accounting under oath of such property and his dealings therewith. These
provisions clearly support the RTC’s directives requiring petitioner to explain
the withdrawals and produce supporting records
